I will create more jobs to stop political trekkers – Shettima

[caption id="attachment_3000" align="alignnone" width="300"]SHITTIMA SHITTIMA[/caption]

Kashim-ShettimaReturned governor of Borno State, Alhaji Kashim Shettima has noted that the current level of unemployment has turned many energetic youths into “political trekkers,” pledging to invest more energies in job creation.

The governor made this assertion in his inaugural speech shortly after he took the oaths of office and allegiance alongside his deputy, Alhaji Zannah Mustapha at the Ramat Square in Maiduguri on Friday.

While taking the oaths administered by the state Chief Judge, Justice Kashim Zannah Shettima said, “We are seriously worried by the throng of unemployed youths in Borno State. An idle and desperate mind is often vulnerable to external manoeuvre.”

Clarifying that he did not mean to denigrate some Nigerian youths who invented new ways of celebration by embarking on long distance trekking, the Borno helmsman insisted that lack of employment provided the time and environment for embarking on such exercise.

His words, “I really do not think any youth that is gainfully employed could have embarked on trekking for weeks. For me, I have taken note of two messages from these trekkers. The first message is a strong and bold reminder that there are no jobs for the youths in Nigeria.

“The second, which I consider more seriously, is that Nigerian youths have the courage and strength to do what many leaders never thought they could do. If youths can trek from one state to another, it means they have potential for good use while they have strength to revolt like Lions in the event they are pushed to the wall.

“We must create jobs for Nigerian youths,” he added.

While observing that this year’s Democracy Day celebration was a moment of hope for the people of his state and Nigerians following the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari, Shettima noted that enormous possibilities also lay ahead of
the people.

The governor, who lamented that Borno residents had suffered untold hardship as a result of Boko Haram menace in the state, accused the out-gone administration of President Goodluck Jonathan of not doing much to save the situation.

His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari following his swearing-in as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on 29th May, 2015
I am immensely grateful to God Who Has preserved us to witness this day and this occasion. Today marks a triumph for Nigeria and an occasion to celebrate her freedom and cherish her democracy. Nigerians have shown their commitment to democracy and are determined to entrench its culture. Our journey has not been easy but thanks to the determination of our people and strong support from friends abroad we have today a truly democratically elected government in place.

I would like to thank President Goodluck Jonathan for his display of statesmanship in setting a precedent for us that has now made our people proud to be Nigerians wherever they are. With the support and cooperation he has given to the transition process, he has made it possible for us to show the world that despite the perceived tension in the land we can be a united people capable of doing what is right for our nation. Together we co-operated to surprise the world that had come to expect only the worst from Nigeria. I hope this act of graciously accepting defeat by the outgoing President will become the standard of political conduct in the country.

[caption id="attachment_2955" align="alignnone" width="300"]buhari buhari[/caption]

I would like to thank the millions of our supporters who believed in us even when the cause seemed hopeless. I salute their resolve in waiting long hours in rain and hot sunshine to register and cast their votes and stay all night if necessary to protect and ensure their votes count and were counted. I thank those who tirelessly carried the campaign on the social media. At the same time, I thank our other countrymen and women who did not vote for us but contributed to make our democratic culture truly competitive, strong and definitive.

I thank all of you.

Having just a few minutes ago sworn on the Holy Book, I intend to keep my oath and serve as President to all Nigerians.

I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody.

A few people have privately voiced fears that on coming back to office I shall go after them. These fears are groundless. There will be no paying off old scores. The past is prologue.

Our neighbours in the Sub-region and our African brethenen should rest assured that Nigeria under our administration will be ready to play any leadership role that Africa expects of it. Here I would like to thank the governments and people of Cameroon, Chad and Niger for committing their armed forces to fight Boko Haram in Nigeria.

I also wish to assure the wider international community of our readiness to cooperate and help to combat threats of cross-border terrorism, sea piracy, refugees and boat people, financial crime, cyber crime, climate change, the spread of communicable diseases and other challenges of the 21st century.

At home we face enormous challenges. Insecurity, pervasive corruption, the hitherto unending and seemingly impossible fuel and power shortages are the immediate concerns. We are going to tackle them head on. Nigerians will not regret that they have entrusted national responsibility to us. We must not succumb to hopelessness and defeatism. We can fix our problems.

In recent times Nigerian leaders appear to have misread our mission. Our founding fathers, Mr Herbert Macauley, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Alhaji Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto, Alhaji Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Malam Aminu Kano, Chief J.S. Tarka, Mr Eyo Ita, Chief Denis Osadeby, Chief Ladoke Akintola and their colleagues worked to establish certain standards of governance. They might have differed in their methods or tactics or details, but they were united in establishing a viable and progressive country. Some of their successors behaved like spoilt children breaking everything and bringing disorder to the house.

Furthermore, we as Nigerians must remind ourselves that we are heirs to great civilizations: Shehu Othman Dan fodio’s caliphate, the Kanem Borno Empire, the Oyo Empire, the Benin Empire and King Jaja’s formidable domain. The blood of those great ancestors flow in our veins. What is now required is to build on these legacies, to modernize and uplift Nigeria.

Daunting as the task may be it is by no means insurmountable. There is now a national consensus that our chosen route to national development is democracy. To achieve our objectives we must consciously work the democratic system. The Federal Executive under my watch will not seek to encroach on the duties and functions of the Legislative and Judicial arms of government. The law enforcing authorities will be charged to operate within the Constitution. We shall rebuild and reform the public service to become more effective and more serviceable. We shall charge them to apply themselves with integrity to stabilize the system.

For their part the legislative arm must keep to their brief of making laws, carrying out over-sight functions and doing so expeditiously. The judicial system needs reform to cleanse itself from its immediate past. The country now expects the judiciary to act with dispatch on all cases especially on corruption, serious financial crimes or abuse of office. It is only when the three arms act constitutionally that government will be enabled to serve the country optimally and avoid the confusion all too often bedeviling governance today.

Elsewhere relations between Abuja and the States have to be clarified if we are to serve the country better. Constitutionally there are limits to powers of each of the three tiers of government but that should not mean the Federal Government should fold its arms and close its eyes to what is going on in the states and local governments. Not least the operations of the Local Government Joint Account. While the Federal Government can not interfere in the details of its operations it will ensure that the gross corruption at the local level is checked. As far as the constitution allows me I will try to ensure that there is responsible and accountable governance at all levels of government in the country. For I will not have kept my own trust with the Nigerian people if I allow others abuse theirs under my watch.

However, no matter how well organized the governments of the federation are they can not succeed without the support, understanding and cooperation of labour unions, organized private sector, the press and civil society organizations. I appeal to employers and workers alike to unite in raising productivity so that everybody will have the opportunity to share in increased prosperity. The Nigerian press is the most vibrant in Africa. My appeal to the media today – and this includes the social media – is to exercise its considerable powers with responsibility and patriotism.

My appeal for unity is predicated on the seriousness of the legacy we are getting into. With depleted foreign reserves, falling oil prices, leakages and debts the Nigerian economy is in deep trouble and will require careful management to bring it round and to tackle the immediate challenges confronting us, namely; Boko Haram, the Niger Delta situation, the power shortages and unemployment especially among young people. For the longer term we have to improve the standards of our education. We have to look at the whole field of medicare. We have to upgrade our dilapidated physical infrastructure.

The most immediate is Boko Haram’s insurgency. Progress has been made in recent weeks by our security forces but victory can not be achieved by basing the Command and Control Centre in Abuja. The command centre will be relocated to Maiduguri and remain until Boko Haram is completely subdued. But we can not claim to have defeated Boko Haram without rescuing the Chibok girls and all other innocent persons held hostage by insurgents.

This government will do all it can to rescue them alive. Boko Haram is a typical example of small fires causing large fires. An eccentric and unorthodox preacher with a tiny following was given posthumous fame and following by his extra judicial murder at the hands of the police. Since then through official bungling, negligence, complacency or collusion Boko Haram became a terrifying force taking tens of thousands of lives and capturing several towns and villages covering swathes of Nigerian sovereign territory.

Boko Haram is a mindless, godless group who are as far away from Islam as one can think of. At the end of the hostilities when the group is subdued the Government intends to commission a sociological study to determine its origins, remote and immediate causes of the movement, its sponsors, the international connexions to ensure that measures are taken to prevent a reccurrence of this evil. For now the Armed Forces will be fully charged with prosecuting the fight against Boko haram. We shall overhaul the rules of engagement to avoid human rights violations in operations. We shall improve operational and legal mechanisms so that disciplinary steps are taken against proven human right violations by the Armed Forces.

Boko Haram is not only the security issue bedeviling our country. The spate of kidnappings, armed robberies, herdsmen/farmers clashes, cattle rustlings all help to add to the general air of insecurity in our land. We are going to erect and maintain an efficient, disciplined people – friendly and well – compensated security forces within an over – all security architecture.

The amnesty programme in the Niger Delta is due to end in December, but the Government intends to invest heavily in the projects, and programmes currently in place. I call on the leadership and people in these areas to cooperate with the State and Federal Government in the rehabilitation programmes which will be streamlined and made more effective. As ever, I am ready to listen to grievances of my fellow Nigerians. I extend my hand of fellowship to them so that we can bring peace and build prosperity for our people.

No single cause can be identified to explain Nigerian’s poor economic performance over the years than the power situation. It is a national shame that an economy of 180 million generates only 4,000MW, and distributes even less. Continuous tinkering with the structures of power supply and distribution and close on $20b expanded since 1999 have only brought darkness, frustration, misery, and resignation among Nigerians. We will not allow this to go on. Careful studies are under way during this transition to identify the quickest, safest and most cost-effective way to bring light and relief to Nigerians.

Unemployment, notably youth un-employment features strongly in our Party’s Manifesto. We intend to attack the problem frontally through revival of agriculture, solid minerals mining as well as credits to small and medium size businesses to kick – start these enterprises. We shall quickly examine the best way to revive major industries and accelerate the revival and development of our railways, roads and general infrastructure.

Your Excellencies, My fellow Nigerians I can not recall when Nigeria enjoyed so much goodwill abroad as now. The messages I received from East and West, from powerful and small countries are indicative of international expectations on us. At home the newly elected government is basking in a reservoir of goodwill and high expectations. Nigeria therefore has a window of opportunity to fulfill our long – standing potential of pulling ourselves together and realizing our mission as a great nation.

Our situation somehow reminds one of a passage in Shakespeare’s Julius Ceasar

There is a tide in the affairs of men which,

taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;

Omitted, all the voyage of their life,

Is bound in shallows and miseries.

We have an opportunity. Let us take it.

Thank you

Muhammadu Buhari

El-Rufai’s inauguration ends abruptly as youth attack Emir, Chief Judge

[caption id="attachment_2941" align="alignnone" width="300"]EL RUFAI EL RUFAI[/caption]

The inauguration of Governor Nasir El-Rufa’i of Kaduna State ended abruptly on Friday after angry youth pelted some prominent indigenes of the state, including the revered Emir of Zaria, Shehu Idris, and the state chief judge, Teyimma Zaiki at the venue of the inauguration.

The rampaging youth accused them of colluding with the previous administration of Governor Ramalan Yero to plunder the resources of the state.

They specifically demanded the dethronement of the Emir who in the ensuing pandemonium that enveloped the venue of the inauguration was rescued and smuggled out by his palace guard to his home in Riga Chikun part of the city.

A senator-elect, Shehu Sani, used his car to smuggle the chief judge out of the venue.

Mr. El-Rufai could not review the parade mounted by the police as some youth pelted dignitaries with water in sachets, stones and other objects in the pavilion.

This prompted security agents to fire tear gas into the crowd at the Murtala Square, Kaduna.

Some dignitaries in the pavilion included the Emir of Zazzau, Shehu Idris, and other traditional rulers in the State.

The incident occurred when the new governor had concluded his address and was about to mount an open van to review the parade mounted by the police.

While the crowds were dispersed by the police, dignitaries remained seated, but the occasion ended abruptly without the governor reviewing the parade.

The Murtala Square was filled to capacity. (NAN)

FIFA urges Nigerian referees to forget World Cup officiating

[caption id="attachment_2938" align="alignnone" width="300"]SEPP BLATTER SEPP BLATTER[/caption]

FIFA Referee Development Officer, has called on Nigerian referees to forget about World Cup officiating ambition for now.

Mr. Henriques gave the advice in an interview in Abuja on Friday.

He advised them to concentrate more on how to secure the Africa Cup of Nations slots.

Mr. Henriques said that the Nigerian referees needed all the support they could get to earn a World Cup slot.

“I think before you start thinking of the World Cup, you have to start thinking of the Africa Cup of Nations.

“Let’s start working, thinking to produce referees to represent Nigeria at the continental competitions; that is our main goal.

“After they start, and be part of the continental of referees, definitely the chances are there for the World Cup.

“They have to wake up like everyone else; everybody has a chance, provided they work hard. They have to work hard, and working hard is not just going out there and work hard.

“They have to work hard in all fields, especially in achieving a high level of fitness as well as the way they manage and approach players.

“So, this is all part of training that the referee has to be subjected to; it’s not easy to be a referee”.

He said there are no much challenges that will stop Nigerian referees from achieving this target since they have a very good team of referees’ instructors in the country.

He said that the calibre of CAF and NFA referee instructor like Linus Mba, could give the referees all they needed to excel in the job.

Mr. Henriques, Lim Kee-Chong from Mauritius, a former FIFA referee, and Mark Nzengo from Malawi, are the FIFA instructors at the ongoing “FIFA Member Association Elite Referees Course”.

The course, which began on May 25 in Abuja, would end on May 29. (NAN).

16 Universities Established By Jonathan Are Illegal - ASUU

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has declared that 16 universities and other higher institutions established by the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan are illegal.

Issa Fagge Nasir, the ASUU national president, stated this concerning the recent conversion of four colleges of education to universities by the Federal Executive Council.

Nasir claimed that the conversion is an assault on the Acts establishing the colleges, saying that universities are not only established via executive fiats but through thorough consultations with stakeholders and deep study of the pros and cons of such decisions.

Nasir said: “Our quarrel with the government is that universities are not just established by executive fiats like this administration is doing. So the Federal Government is only compounding the problems already bedeviling the education sector and I wonder if the incoming administration will allow this to stand. Strictly speaking, the Federal Government is not respecting its own laws, and I wonder how you just transmute an institution without looking at its laws. What happens to its staff, facilities and infrastructure? Academic institutions like universities are the bedrock for national development and so are not run without defined mandate and vision, and using them to achieve political gains will only further compound the nation’s problems.”

He also called on the incoming administration to critically assess these decisions and make impartial judgments that will benefit the mass of the people and return the country’s education sector’s lost glory.

5 Things Muhammadu Buhari Needs To Do Immediately To Become Nigeria’s Best President

[caption id="attachment_2921" align="alignnone" width="300"]PRESIDENT PRESIDENT[/caption]

Muhammadu Buhari won the presidential race under the slogan of change. And he is facing huge challenges ahead immediately after he is sworn in. Nevertheless, if he is able to change only five things immediately after he takes office it will mean a huge progress for Nigeria.

5 Things Muhammadu Buhari Needs To Do Immediately To Become Nigeria’s Best President
Muhammadu Buhari is facing huge challenges ahead immediately after he is sworn in.

Undoubtedly Nigeria’s most serious problem is the problem of corruption. Nigerian society is ridden with corruption and it seems nearly impossible to fight it. Still there are some ways of solving this problem. If it’s impossible to change corrupted people there’s still the possibility to cut off sources of corruption.

1. Muhammadu Buhari should cancel infamous fuel subsidy. Designated to ease ordinary Nigerians’ possibility to buy fuel, the fuel subsidy led to the exactly opposite results. The fuel subsidy caused huge money drain from the treasury, fuel crisis and the subsequent flourishing black market of fuel. The law of supply and demand can regulate the fuel market much better than regulations by Nigerian lawmakers. Once Buhari removes mediators between fuel suppliers and fuel buyers there will be far less possibilities for corruption in oil industry.

[caption id="attachment_2922" align="alignnone" width="300"]PRESIDENT PRESIDENT[/caption]

2. Whether he wants it or not, but to improve Nigeria’s image on the international arena Muhammadu Buhari should extradite Buruji Kashamu to the US. The evidence base, gathered against Kashamu in the US on drug charges against him is so extensive that further delay of his extradition looks for the rest of the world like one of the most ridiculous cases of the violation of the rule of law.

3. As a retired general, Muhammadu Buhari should be quite familiar with problems army faces now. So instead of prosecuting troops who refused to fight Boko Haram militants bare-handed it would be much more effective to investigate and prosecute those high-ranked military, who are responsible for poorness of supply for Nigerian soldiers

4. Tackling Boko Haram insurgency is one of the top goals of Muhammadu Buhari he acknowledged himself soon after vicory in presidential election. “No doubt this nation has suffered greatly in the recent past and its staying power has been challenged to its limits, chief among them the insurgency of Boko Haram,” told Buhari. “Boko Haram will soon know the strength of our will and commitment to rid this nation of terror … we shall spare no effort until we defeat terrorism.” Until security in north-eastern Nigeria restored it would be very difficult to bring economic development into this region.

5. Tackling youth unemployment is one of the most difficult tasks for Muhammadu Buhari as president of Nigeria. However, this social issue is closely related to the problem of extremism. It is proven by sociological studies that militant groups draw human resources from the ranks of the unemployed.

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair advised the incoming President of Nigeria administration not to waste time while in office.

In his opinion all important decisions should be taken in first 100 days – not later. It is really important to meet the voters’ expectations from the very start and that will have hugely positive impact on Nigerian economy in long term.

At the same time, Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has listed three major challenges facing Nigeria’s economy that the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari needs to tackle. According to Dangote, Buhari needs to make unemployment, increased power generation and corruption his top priorities after his swearing-in on May 29.

Governor Gabriel Suswam, Wife, and Others Flee Nigeria This Morning

[caption id="attachment_2910" align="alignnone" width="300"]suswam suswam[/caption]

A Nigerian minister, Segun Aganga, PDP chieftain, Tony Anenih and the Governor of Benue state, Gabriel Suswam today departed Nigeria on a British Airways flight out of the Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport apparently to avoid getting caught. The three were last seen boarding the BA flight scheduled for an 8:00am departure to London. Sahara Reporters Media

SaharaReporters learnt that more party officials and President Goodluck Jonathan’s aides, ministers and several appointees have either fled or planning to flee the country afraid that incoming President Muhammad Buhari will probe the administration of Mr. Jonathan and jail those found guilty of corruption. Last week, the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-madueke traveled on the same flight with Buhari to London, while on the six hour trip she made several attempt to start a conversation with Mr. Buhari, but the 72-old winner of Nigeria’s presidential election known for his no-nonsense stance on corruption rebuffed all her entreaties. It is not known if she ever returned to Nigeria.

The wife of the Mr. Suswam, Yemisi, reportedly left yesterday to Houston in the US to avoid getting caught up in the sweep.

Suswam had confirmed yesterday that he won’t be available for the inauguration of the incoming Benue State Governor, Dr Samuel Ortom delegating his deputy, Chief Steven Lawani to carry out the function on his behalf.

Senate: Suswam Withdraws Petition Against Gemade

Former Benue state Governor Gabriel Suswam yesterday stated that he has decided to withdraw the suit challenging the election of Senator Barnabas Gemade, saying the decision is to enhance development.

[caption id="attachment_2904" align="alignnone" width="279"]SUSWAM SUSWAM[/caption]

Recall that Suswam (PDP) had contested the senate seat of the Benue North East senatorial district with the incumbent Senator Gemade (APC) in the last April poll where Gemade won the election landslide and was announced winner by INEC.

But Suswam had quickly filed a Petition challenging the emergency of Gemade and alleged that the entire election was rigged, with connivance of the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

But fielding questions from journalists yesterday at the dissolution of the state executive council at Government House Makurdi, Suswam announced his decision to discontinue with the court case saying that the development is in full consultation with Senator Gemade and relevant stakeholders.

According to him, there is no basis to continue with the case hence the interest of peace, harmony and rapid development. He said he has ordered his lawyers to withdraw it.

He said “Let me announce to you that I have ordered my lawyers to discontinue with my case against Senator Gemade. I have consulted very well with Senator Gemade with other relevant stakeholders and have resolved that I will not continue with the case in the interest of peace.

He further stated that politics is a machinery of enhancing peace and development, rather than ignite crisis or nurture mischief. He debunked the insinuation that he has been induced to withdraw the suit against Gemade.

I’m leaving behind N9.2bn debt – Suswam

[caption id="attachment_2887" align="alignnone" width="200"]SUSWAM SUSWAM[/caption]

The outgoing Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam, has said that he is leaving behind a dept profile of N9.2bn for the incoming administration of Samuel Ortom.

Suswam stated this at the Banquet Hall of the Government House Makurdi shortly after presenting his handover notes to Ortom.

He said, “I am leaving behind a total debt profile of N9.2bn for the incoming administration.”

The outgoing governor also regretted that he did not take the state to a greater height having spent eight years as a governor.

“Surely, we did not take Benue State to a greater height but that doesn’t mean that we didn’t do our part as a government,” Suswam declared.

He maintained that he had remained a fulfilled man having provided the needed platform for the incoming administration to thrive.

He appealed to the media to extend the same gesture of goodwill to the incoming administration both in the state and at the federal levels.

Suswam revealed that he had instructed his lawyers to withdraw a lawsuit he earlier instituted against Senator Barnabas Gemade at the election tribunal.

The outgoing governor had sought to represent Benue North-East Senatorial District at the red chambers but failed during the general elections.

Suswam pleaded with the people of the state in particular and Nigerians in general to forgive him for some of the decisions he might have taken that were contrary to their wishes.

David Mark Tells Buhari to Be Fair to All

[caption id="attachment_2900" align="alignnone" width="300"]DAVID MARK DAVID MARK[/caption]

Senate President, David Mark, on Thursday advised President-elect Muhammadu Buhari to be fair to all as he assumes office today as Nigeria’s fifth elected president.

Mark, according to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Paul Mumeh, said he would anticipate an egalitarian society where all citizens are safe and protected without any fear of molestation or harassment in all parts of Nigeria.

Assuring that the National Assembly would co-operate with the executive arm of government to deliver dividends of democracy to the citizenry, Mark enjoined all Nigerians and the international community to support the new administration of Buhari.

He implored the new administration to build on the foundations of previous governments by meeting the yearnings and aspirations of citizens. Mark also implored Buhari and his running mate, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, to anchor their actions on strict adherence to the principles of the rule of law, respect for human rights, freedom of expression, equity and justice.

Mark also took stock of 16 years of uninterrupted democracy in Nigeria and urged citizens to persevere in the effort to sustain democracy. The senate president, in a goodwill message to Nigerians on the occasion of Democracy Day, said: “All hands must be on deck while everyone plays his or her role to ensure that our democracy endures.” He added: “All Nigerians deserve commendation. We have done well so far. We must strive more to make democracy a way of life. As an active participant in our democratic journey since 1999, I can say without any fear of contradiction that our democracy has endured.

“The successes recorded so far especially with the last general election clearly shows the unwavering commitment of Nigerians to its fruition.” He observed the challenges confronting this democratic experiment, and expressed optimism that all the initial hiccups would soon be consigned to history books.

Mark added that despite its imperfections, democracy remained the best form of government because it is not only representative but also participatory.

The President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma will be in Nigeria today for the inauguration of the president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, his office said on Thursday.

According to News24, Zuma’s trip will be a ”working visit” and besides Buhari’s inaugurations, it will also give the two presidents the opportunity to discuss issues of mutual concern.

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) urged the South African President to stay away from Buhari’s inauguration, following the spate of xenophobic attacks and the way his government handled it.

The group furthermore threatened to storm the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, should Zuma step into the country’s airport.
However, if the report is released as planned, Zuma will be fulfilling presidential duties in Nigeria such as enhancing the ”good” bilateral relations between the two countries, and strengthening economic ties.

”President Zuma also congratulated the people of Nigeria for conducting a peaceful, transparent, credible, free and fair election as declared by the Independent National Election Commission of Nigeria (INEC).”

Zuma will be accompanied by Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, Minister of International Relations and Co-operation.
