Aliyu Instructs PDP Members To Pray For APC Success

Muazu Babangida Aliyu, the governor of Niger state, has
advised members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) not to work for
failure of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led administration.

The governor stated this during the commissioned some TERTFund projects at the College of Education in Minna.
He said PDP members should rather pray towards regaining power in 2019.

Repeating
that the failure of any administration will impact negatively on
everyone, comprising the PDP members, he instructed all to “pray for
the success of APC government because if you pray for failure of APC
you will suffer, because you suffer for failure of any government
”.
Aliyu
stated that the rise of G7 group of governors was to correct the crimes
in the PDP, saying the defection of his former colleagues in the party
reinforced APC and revitalized the chances of the president-elect,
Muhammadu Buhari and other elected people.

Meanwhile, he cautioned against turning the nation to a one party state, continuing that “we
should not go back to one party state, we must have a virile opposition
and we saw that coming when the political parties merged
.”
He
said the merger and the defection of the governors as well as failure
to honour the deal of one term signed by President Goodluck Jonathan
were accountable for the political tsunami that hit the PDP.

“When
the first election took place, people were shocked when they came and I
was the one telling them to take it easy, and I said God in His
infinite mercy has made me see it coming; when I raised the issue of an
agreement they thought I was a liar but believe me there was
,” he said.
It
should be noted that Niger state governor has lost his bid to go to the
Senate on the ticket of the PDP as he was defeated by Barrister David
Umar of the APC.
