Governor Samuel Ortom today denied insinuations that he was being pressured by the former governor of Benue state,and leader of the All Progressives Congress in Benue state,senator George AKume to constitute commissions of inquiry,and probe panels against immediate past governor of Benue state,Dr Gabriel Suswam.
Governor Ortom who was responding to questions from journalists at the Peoples House in Makurdi described the insinuations " an insult on his intergrity.Iam55 years,I have held leadership postitins at the state level and various levels,I became national Auditor of a party,and minister of federal republic of Nigeria...today iam democratically elected governor,iam educated,for God's sake when you talk about that is like you are insulting my intergrity. During the retreat,some of you know the people unanimously including PDP that I should go ahead and verify where their money went...AKume has not told me to probe anyone".Chief Ortom maintained.
Also reacting to a Makurdi high court ruling vacating the earlier orders restraining governor ortom's administration from probing his administration ,governor Ortom said he had always believed in the sanctity of the judiciary,and hailed the judgement.
