Atsar Gundu Jnr, an indigene of Benue State has defiled unwritten brotherhood loyalties to trek from Abuja to Ilorin, Kwara State for Senate President Bukola Saraki.
Saraki contested the senate presidency with Mr Gundu’s fellow Tiv kinsman Senator George Akume and whilst majority of Benue people especially the Tiv aligned with their brother, this man has taken his contralateral support to the next level.
One would wonder the motive behind this unprecedented act, but the die-hard Saraki supporter though explained that he embarked on this mission in order to forster unity between the two states and Nigeria at large.
” Kwara and Benue state, our spirit is one. Strong and cannot be broken. ”
Mr Gundu started his journey on the 13th of June and has arrived Kwara State, albeit with little recognition for all his troubles.
He said, ” …I shed tears and offer my tribute to Major Gideon Gwaza Orkar. Nobody send (cared about) this gallant officer, just like me. But my joy is that I will win and return home safely. ”
