The battle for Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency of Benue State has taken an ugly turn as Hon. Hassan Anthony Saleh, through a press release, has alleged threats to his life and those of his supporters, pointing accusing fingers at Hon. Chris Adabah Abbah (Mad Lion) against whom he contested the seat.

My dear Constituents,
With all sense of humilty, I wish to appreciate you for your prayers, solidarity and unalloyed supports during my turbulent period.
I also want to bring to your notice, that my life and those of my supporters have been under persistent threat by CHRIS ADABAH ABAH (a.k.a. Mad Lion) and his corhots, ever since my victory at the Federal High Court, Abuja, on 20th May 2015.
I have more than enough evidence to prove my claim.
Though I have committed my life to the Almighty God – the Giver and Taker of lives; however, let it be on record that, CHRIS ADABAH ABAH (a.k.a. Mad Lion) should be held responsible, should anything happens to me, my Family Members, my Personal Aides or any of my Supporters.
Thanks, and May God Bless you.
It would be recalled that Hon. Chris Abba defeated the immediate past Member, Hon. Saleh at the PDP Primaries in December 2014 and was thereafter returned elected unopposed, having no rival from another party.
The then incumbent however challenged Abbah’s election on the ground of certificate forgery and perjury which the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja granted the prayers of the motion.
Justice Adeniyi Ademola did not only invalidate Mr. Abbah’s election, he also declared Mr. Saleh as duly elected Member from the Constituency and ordered that certificate of return be issued to him by INEC.
Undaunted by the court order, Mr. Abbah approached the Court of Appeal.
