PAY WORKERS BEFORE YOU LEAVE, Avenya tells Suswam

bishop-avenya-diocese-of-gboko-biography-headshotBishop of Gboko Catholic Diocese, Bishop Avenya has asked the outgoing governor of Benue state, Dr Gabriel Suswam to address what he called "outstanding concerns" before he exits on May 29th.

He stated this today while addressing the congregation that attended the Thanksgiving Mass organised by the Catholic Church held at the St John's Parish, Gboko.

The Thanksgiving is in appreciation of the successful 2015 general elections.

Avenya who traced the current underdevelopment in the state to "hate, jealousy and bigotory" asked every Benue state citizen to shun violence, since according to him, those that seek to rule by the gun would not last.

While directing his message to the incoming government of Dr Samuel Ortom, the Bishop urged him to see his victory as "the clear mandate of the people and not by your might," stressing, "we can say for certainly that it was the made of the people.
